Benjamin travelled to Honduras this month to visit an orphanage called Renacer, it was a wonderful experience for him.
While he was gone, there were a few special days when Josie stayed with Mutti and Pappap (first time all by herself!) while Simon and I headed to the annual Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival in the outrageously beautiful valley of Loganton PA. Bluegrass is such a wonderful delight, in part because the genre relies so heavily on a live, communal experience of people making music together off the cuff. Simon played, hoola hooped, danced and even made friends with a little girl whose mommy sings in a band from Nashville TN! It was really wonderful to have some time with just Simon, we even snuck in some peanut m&ms while Jos was away! Of course, we are glad to have her back in the fold, peanut allergies and all.
