Five Alive

Sweet Johanna Kathleen celebrated her fifth birthday this weekend with much ado and hoopla too! On Saturday Mutti and Pappap came for a visit. Josie received her special gift at this time, the Malibu Barbie Dreamhouse. It's only been a handful of days and already hours upon hours have been spent playing with this thing. Josie is truly so delighted she can hardly contain herself.

That evening she picked Mexican as her meal of choice. At the restaurant she had a special pink drink to celebrate, another huge highlight for our fancy lady.

On Sunday we sang happy birthday to Josie in church and then Daddy prayed over her as is custom in our congregation; in fact the tenderhearted pastor even cried a bit.

After that we held a special birthday party at the Jersey Shore YMCA. While not everything went quite according to plan, the kids had a good time doing crafts and running around playing with balloons. It was a whirlwind of activity and our social butterfly enjoyed it immensely.

We are proud of our big girl, beautiful both inside and out.
