The Bald Eagle Mountain Megatransect is an annual 25+ mile trail race held here in Clinton County. There are many miles and many hours spent training for the big day. It is a wonderful motivation to get outside, enjoy the amazing scenery of PA, and get our bodies moving!!!
This year was our second go at the Mega, and it was a particularly special event as SEVEN Lins folk participated in the race. Grandpa Craig (DE), Aunt Anna (GA), Aunt Rachel (TN), Uncle Daniel (IL), Uncle Joe (DE) descended upon the trails with gusto. Simon, Josie, Mia, Gabe, Grandma, and Aunt Elizabeth made a wonderful cheering section. The weather was sunny and not too warm, which was a gift. The very last uphill of the race, aptly called "the Raw Trail", just about brought me to tears. All of us crossed the finish line and no one was terribly injured, perhaps just a little sore :) It is such an inspiration to be a part of this healthy family!
Aunt Anna commandeered several fun shots of Mega Day when she saw aunt Rachel at Thanksgiving... thanks Anna and Rach! Go Team Lins!
