I belong to a group of local wonder mamas who gather as a group called MothersTogether... While we don't meet regularly in the summertime, we did take on a special project this month and built an entry for the the annual cardboard boat race on the river. We made a minivan out of duct tape, cardboard, paint, and glue. Of course the construction took place during the hottest week of the summer~ the duct tape was melting on their rolls at one point! It was all worth it in the end, we had a great time at the races and our boat was the last one standing at the end of the day's crash derby :) Our little boat/van was true to form~ not very speedy, but downright sturdy!
