Christmas is coming...

This weekend we attended an open house at Laurel Run Farm, which is run by wonderfully hospitable folks who invited families to walk their land and choose a Christmas tree to take home. I would have taken pictures, but it was snowing the whole time!! I think someone must have special ordered the weather :) Later that day we trimmed the tree, which is quite an experience with a puppy, a very independent-minded 2-year-old, and a creative five-year-old, let me tell you!!
That evening, we headed to the Christmas parade. The picture is with a miniature pony who marched in the parade~ Josie was thrilled. Of course, the big man himself was there sitting on top of the fire truck at the very end.

The kids are beside themselves, and we have 2 1/2 weeks to go. As Simon puts it, "this is the longest time of waiting of my life!!"
