SIMON SCORES THE PRESENT OF HIS LIFE

Meet the new baby~ Samson! He's the yellow lab Simon received on Saturday afternoon by way of a farm in Lamar. He was so surprised, it was the best. My two favorite simon quotes over the whole thing (and he is 100% sincere, trust me): "It is my life dream come true." and "I would die for this dog." HA!!

Sam is 7 weeks old and we are all totally head over heals for him. I quickly decided that having a dog you love in your life is much like coffeemate hazelnut fat-full cream for my coffee... totally unnecessary, yes, but boy does it make life that much sweeter and more enjoyable. Benjamin and I have decided that somehow Sam is forcing each of us to be a little more relaxed. We can't explain it, because he's obviously a lot of work. Somehow, he is a calming presence in our home thus far.

By the by, we are crate training. Any advice-givers out there (cousin puppy Jakers? Eby the wonderdog? sweet sweet Tap? auntie Trinity?) are more than welcome to put their two cents in, we're just starting to learn about how to train this little guy.
