carnivals, ducklings, and the dino fish


We babysat a pair of ducklings over the weekend and discovered that they are (fortunately) virtually indestructible little creatures. Also, there is a shot of the fam's newest haunt, the local fish hatchery. Sturgeon, a.k.a. dino fish, are always a favorite. In other pertinent natural world news, our yard houses these gorgeous purple iris that are starting to come into bloom. I couldn't resist posting it, the color is incredible.
